Conimbriga Amphitheater (Portugal) PLANT
The building, approximately 90x60m, could hold more than four thousand spectators, was built at the end of July-claudio, taking advantage of a natural slope that surrounded the city on the north side.
destroyed at the end of the third century or early IV, when the wall was built under-imperial, to which was a source of materials, the amphitheater is one of the monuments in better condition in Conimbriga, for all its lower deck was kept under the fallen walls.
